YIT Properties was founded in August, 2008, by the Finnish YIT Group for commercial and industrial construction in Moscow and Moscow region.
YIT Group is well known in Europe and has a long history of cooperation with Russian partners; it has more than forty years of operation on the Russian market, implemented hundreds of projects in different areas of Russia including Moscow. It should be mentioned that YIT Group assisted in reconstruction of Metropol Hotel, construction of new buildings for Tretyakov Gallery, installation and maintenance of engineering systems for IKEA shops, Rolf car dealer centers, and Sant Goban Isover plant. Combination of Russian construction experience and technical innovations of the construction leader in Finland is based upon high urgency of the tasks and is in line with investment and construction activity of YIT in Russia through its affiliated companies in Moscow, Moscow region, Saint Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Rostov-on-Don and Kazan. In view of increasing investment appeal of Russia, it is easy to explain high interest of the foreign leaders to the Russian construction market. It can be explained by increasing volumes of the market, need of recovery, actuality of implementation of new methods of management and construction.
